If you're just getting started with the web we suggest that you begin with one of our basic plans. These plans fit most small businesses and quickly get you on the web in the most cost effective way. This is where your comfort level with technology is important. We can help you sort through the different options.
When we develop your website, we'll make sure to design the site so that the underlying programming is separate from the content. This will make it easier for you to update your pages when your text or images need to be changed. The separation can be accomplished by either a content management system or by native HTML (the language of web pages) with a content editor. Both approaches have their advantages and disadvantages. We'll be happy to explain the options and costs to you.
The important thing is that you'll be able to easily add, change and delete content from your site on your own using simple to understand tools.Simple Small Business Plan
Our Simple Small Business plan is the easiest way to get a professional web presence quickly. For a one-time flat fee, you get:
- A standard theme selected from hundreds of possibilities from our design gallery.
- Minor customizations to the theme to make it unique for your business (i.e., your logo and your images.)
- Up to 5 static web pages with an integrated menu. (You provide the text and images.)
- A Contact Us form that emails form results to you.
- Website and email hosting with open source spam filtering software.
- The ability to easily add features by one-click installation of predefined open source web applications.
- A CD containing a complete set of all original files.
Optional add-ons to the Simple Small Business plan include (at extra cost):
- Extra pages.
- Major customizations to the theme including layout and navigation changes.
- Custom Dreamweaver CSS-based template so that any new pages have the same look and feel of your original pages.
- Ability for you to make content changes on your own.
- Interactive pages and features (such as custom web search, customer signup forms, etc.)
- Private area requiring logon id and password that you administer.
- Content creation (including multimedia audio and video.)
Simple Webstore Plan
Our Simple Web Store Plan will get your web based store up and running quickly. This package sets you up with everything in the Simple Small Business Plan. Plus, it provides a full e-commerce store complete with transaction processing, digital product download, customer feedback rating system, shopping cart, member login, invoice printing, shipping calculations and special offer discounts. The store gives you the ability to set up your own products and manage the inventory yourself through a secure administration portal. You upload the products, set prices, add product photos, set shipping costs and terms, and more.
The Simple Webstore Plan includes:
- Installation of open source e-commerce engine customized to match your website colors and logo.
- Configuration of your existing merchant account, PayPal account or Google Checkout account. (Use of a merchant account is subject to the terms and features of that merchant account and PCI compliance issues. We can help you with how to obtain a merchant credit card, PayPal or Google Checkout account.)
- Security certificate (SSL) installation.
- Configuration of basic store data.
- Brief tutorial on how to upload products, photos, and how to update order status.
Optional add-ons to the Simple Webstore plan include (at extra cost):
- Major customizations to the webstore software, including layout and navigation changes.
- Commercially licensed webstore software.
- Integration with QuickBooks.

Keep in mind that basic web hosting assumes that you're familiar with web development and can take responsibility for your own content. Since you're developing your own content, we don’t support any content problems for basic web hosting. However, we will ensure that our infrastructure is available and supporting you with services, such as SSL certificate installation, that require enhanced access to the servers. There may be an additional charge for some services that require special handling.
